With only a day until “Heartstrings’” TV premiere, JS Pictures released teaser stills of CNBlue’s Jung Yong Hwa and shared some inside stories about the young singer-actor.
Jung Yong Hwa made his successful acting debut with 2008 trendy drama “You’re Beautiful,” alongside current co-star Park Shin Hye, hallyu starJang Geun Suk, and FT Island’s Lee Hong Ki. “Heartstrings” marks his first lead acting role, and Jung Yong Hwa’s taken the responsibility quite seriously. The producers stated that Jung Yong Hwa stays in character 24/7. In the upcoming drama, he plays Lee Shin, a snobby guitar prodigy whose life revolves around his music. Those on set described that Jung Yong Hwa, like Lee Shin, always carries his guitar around and sings – even when the cameras are turned off. He’s garnered the admiration and interest of those around him with his good looks and diverse talents.
A representative of JS Pictures explained, “Jung Yong Hwa is extremely talented musically, but he’s also very passionate and focused on his acting. He’s always trying to learn and improve. Please look forward to and support Jung Yong Hwa as he improves and grows throughout ‘Heartstrings.’”
The drama’s original soundtrack (OST) also promises to delight fans with various tracks sung by the stars themselves. A couple days ago, MBC released a preview with an OST from the drama. The song is titled “You’re Into Me,” and was sung by Jung Yong Hwa. It featured the perfect blend of his sweet voice and the smooth, laid back sound of an acoustic guitar.
Park Shin Hye also participated in the OST with a song titled “The Day We Fell in Love.” Her clear, angelic voice was perfect for portraying the young and bright energy that underlines the drama. “Heartstrings” boasts a fresh, young cast, and they include Song Chang Ui, So Yi Hyun, Woori, and CNBlue's Kang Min Hyuk. The highly anticipated youth melodrama will finally air its pilot episode tomorrow, June 29th, on MBC at 9:55PM KST.
