Super Junior to hold a showcase in Japan

Asia’s top idol group Super Junior will hold a showcase in Japan next month!

On June 8th, Super Junior released their Japanese debut single BONAMANA“. The group displayed their tremendous influence as Hallyu idols by placing second on the Oricon Weekly Charts, a great accomplishment for anyone making their debut on the chart.
Additionally, the group broke the record for rookie Korean idol groups in Japan by moving 100,000 albums. This monumental achievement surprised many people in the industry.
Other K-pop artists in Japan have actively appeared on Japanese TV shows, events and the like. However, Super Junior hardly participated in any activities in Japan, yet, they’ve proven to be quite popular. Because of this, the group has been labeled, “the long distance relationship” group because of their distant relationship with Japanese fans. Fortunately for Japanese fans, things are about to change as the group has announced that they will be holding a showcase in Japan next month in July.
In addition, the group will be screening footage from their concert turned 3D movie titled, “Super Show 3 3D.” Super Junior members Kyuhyun, Ryeowook, and Yesung are scheduled to attend the premiere in Japan next month.
