tvN "enews" recently aired a segment on SM Entertainment's censorship towards their idols on variety shows. It was revealed that SM Entertainment banned some of Sooyoung and Yuri's actions.
SM Entertainment made it clear that Sooyoung and Yuri were told to refrain from actions that could damage the elegant and beautiful image that they are trying to convey.Sooyoung was told not to do anymore of her famous imitations on variety shows. Yuri was told not to do special "kkab" actions.
YG Entertainment's Yang Hyunsuk has also placed bans on the actions of the 2NE1 members.
