KBS‘s ‘Immortal Song 2‘ aired another fantastic episode of performances this week!
The seven member cast was given the mission of arranging legendary songs by the rock band, ‘Songgolmae‘. ALi performed “Living Without Knowing the World” while Davichi‘s Min Kyung performed “The First Moment“. Lim Jung Hee chose “Come Together“.
Huh Gak, INFINITE‘s Woohyun, and Shin Yong Jae chose “Beyond the World“, “Bumping Into You“, and “To the Baby” respectively.
F.T. Island‘s Hongki also made a special appearance by singing “Loving All” and showed off his hard rock capabilities while Huh Gak showed his dancing skills for the first time since his debut, surprising the audience.
ALi made her own performance stand out with a blues arrangement and a rap feature. “There’s a really unique high note in the song, and I’m thinking of singing that in a ‘pansori’ style.”
Upon seeing ALi’s stage, Goo Chang Mo stated, “I received a feel-good shock from the performance.”Bae Chul Soo also added, “I was really surprised with what you did.”
Minkyung commented on her own performance by stating, “I chose ‘The First Moment’ as my song and decided to present a ‘combo present’ by adding reggae and punk rock elements to the arrangement.”
Woohyun also took home his first win since joining the show five weeks ago. His powerful dance and perfect live definitely won the crowd and the judges alike. Bae Chul Soo stated, “You looked a lot like Goo Chang Mo then. Listening to the cheers of your fangirls now reminds me of a time when that used to be me.”
Goo Chang Mo stated, “I think you did well in breathing life back into the original song with your own style. It was definitely a reinterpretation made on your own.”
After the performances, Bae Chul Soo praised, “I was glad to be able to see such a variety of sides from such great singers. I had fun watching all of them.” Goo Chang Mo stated, “I think that these young juniors have awakened something within me.”
