On January 30, Lee Seung Ki held a press conference in Japan for the release of his Japanese debut single, “Era of Love.” The debut single is scheduled for release on March 6.
During the press conference, Lee Seung Ki was asked if he wanted to film a “love story” in Japan as he did in Korea. He said he would like to if the chance comes, and added, “I would like to act with Japanese actress Haruka Ayase. Since my Japanese isn’t too good, I’d like to play a reserved character.”
He also picked One Ok Rock and Toshinobu Kubota as two Japanese musicians he would like to perform with in the future.
Haruka Ayase is one of the most popular Japanese actresses, who is also known as Japan’s “Bagel-girl.” Her roles in “Crying Out Love, In the Center of the World” and “Hotaru no Hikara” made her popular in Korea as well.
Meanwhile, Lee Seung Ki also revealed plans to perform in Japan’s famed Budokan Theater in June. It’s a rarity for a rookie artist to perform at the Budokan in less than three months of debut. “I heard not everyone gets a chance to perform at the Budokan. It’s a joy to be able to go on such an honorable stage,” Lee Seung Ki said.
