Leeteuk’s tweets about being a workaholic draw concern

Super Junior‘s leader, Leeteuk, has expressed some concerns about his workaholic tendencies.
On January 27th, the idol tweeted, “Rest is stressful for me. I don’t know what to do. Work addiction. Is there a method to cure this?  It seems a lot serious than I thought, I feel like I’m going crazy. I get depressed when I have a break. I think I’m crazy. Maybe I should go on vacation and see the beach.”
Leeteuk also quoted the meaning of ‘workaholic’, as defined by psychologist Haresh Shetty. “Most workaholics are young and single. They tend to distance themselves from family and friends. These people are more fond of the office than their families. They even spend free time at the office as well. Work is a necessity in life [for them]. However, if one is buried by their work and is unable to enjoy free time and neglect their families, they are not benefitting from work. Instead, their life becomes unbalanced because of it.”
Yet there is no one thing that could direct that individual towards a more normal lifestyle with [better] health and leisure time with friends. As such, work eventually takes control of that person’s life and delays their success. Working hard during one’s youth is a good thing, but it is necessary to balance the time spent on work and on one’s own life. If your life does not control your work, but is instead being controlled by it, your life can never be beautiful.”
Upon reading Leeteuk’s series of tweets, worried fans commented, “What’s going on?  I’m getting anxious for him“, “The life of an idol must be hard“, and “Enjoy your life! Don’t obsess over your schedules!
