2PM to Release First Best Hits Album

2PM is set to release their first best album in Japan on March 14. The album, “2PM Best in Korea 2008-2011,” will be comprised of 2PM’s greatest hits in Korea (with Korean lyrics) as well as some unreleased tracks.
It will be released in three different versions: a DVD version with songs from the “JYP Nation in Japan” concert, Junsu’s “Alive,” and Junho’s “Move On.”
2PM was the second highest selling rookie artist in Japan last year, according to the Oricon charts. That makes them the highest selling Korean artist in Japan from 2011. They also won the “New Artist of the Year” at the 26th Golden Disk Award. Taecyeon, Chansung, and Nichkhun have all been cast in Japanese movies and TV dramas, reflecting their growing popularity among the mainstream audience.
2PM will also become the first Korean artist to hold a solo concert at the famed Budokan Theater. The concert titled “Budokan 6 Days” will be held from May 24 to 25 and May 28 to 31. Tickets will go on sale starting March 31.
“We expect 2PM to see more significant growth in Japan, as they’ve been one of the best rookie groups in the country. In addition to the Budokan concert, Nichkhun’s new movie, ‘Ouran High School Host Club,’ will premiere on March 17. Please continue to show love and support to 2PM who’s working hard as Korea’s representative group,” JYP Entertainment said in a statement.
