Block B’s Fans Show Their Unwavering Support

Block B is currently in a pretty strained situation because of its controversial interview in Thailand, but that isn’t stopping the group’s fans from showing their support.
On February 20, the group’s members posted their apologies regarding the interview on its official fan café Block B Club (BBC). The posts have caused quite a stir not only among the public but also in the fanclub itself, as they’ve gathered more than 1,000 comments per post.

Rather than admonish them, the fans have chosen to embrace the members’ pain and show their support.

One fan said in the comments, "Like the saying ′and it shall come to pass,′ you’ll be able to be forgiven after some time when people start to think ′it was just a mistake that Block B made back then.′ Since I’m a fan of Block B, I won’t leave you and I won’t criticize you. Even if everyone else curses you, BBC will be on your side.’

Block B is currently in hot water for an interview it held on January 30 with RYT9, a Thai media outlet, in which the members made insensitive comments about the flood in Thailand and showed an insincere attitude all throughout the interview.

After the video of the interview spread through the net, many have been criticizing the group, saying, ‘This is a disgrace to the national image’, ‘I think they need to be educated more’ and ‘Even I’m so sorry toward the Thai people’.

The criticisms, however, don’t seem to have reached the love the fans hold for Block B, though fans of other groups, namely 2PM and U-Kiss, have reacted angrily.

Fans in the Block B′s fanclub have showed their support toward the members through relay messages in the form of letters. They’ve also been asking the agency to ‘deal with the situation wisely and properly’.
