While in America for their performances on “The Late Show with David Letterman” and “Live! With Kelly,” the girls of Girls’ Generation were invited to the headquarters of the Associated Press (AP) in New York for an interview.
Because AP provides its news content to other media, it rarely gets a large number of views on its personal site. However, according to AP, the video clip of Girls’ Generation’s interview received one of the highest view counts out of all the other videos on AP’s Youtube channel. After reviewing the data of the uploaded video, AP revealed that it was viewed not only in Asia but all over the world, proving Girls’ Generations’ global popularity.
According to one of the staff members, the girls left a strong impression by greeting everyone cheerfully and participating in the interview actively. In the interview, Jessica mentioned Girls’ Generation’ dreams of performing and releasing an album in America. She also spoke of how the girls grew up together since elementary school and admitted to sisterly fights.
