Jang Dong Gun & Kim Ha Neul to star in SBS’s ‘Gentlemen’s Class’


Actors Jang Dong Gun and Kim Ha Neul have been cast in SBS‘s upcoming romantic comedy,‘Gentleman’s Class’.
The two will be working with PD Shin Woo Chul and scriptwriter Kim Eun Sook, who previously worked on ‘Secret Garden‘. This will be the first small screen project in 12 years for Jang Dong Gun, who made his last drama appearance on MBC‘s ‘All About Eve’.
‘Gentleman’s Class’ is a romantic comedy that depicts the process of love and separation, as well as success and setbacks through the stories of four men and four women. Jang Dong Gun will play the role of ‘Kim Do Jin’, the head of a construction company, while Kim Ha Neul will play ‘Song Lee Soo’, an umpire of amateur baseball as well as a high school teacher.
Jang Dong Gun stated, “Due to the production staff’s persistence and consideration during the hard circumstance [for discussions] stemming from my filming schedule for my Chinese movie, I have decided to do this project. I also have faith in the script and the production team.”
Kim Ha Neul couldn’t hide her excitement as she expressed, “I’m so happy to have met scriptwriter Kim Eun Sook and Shin Woo Chul PD again after ‘On Air’.”
The production team revealed, “Due to the production staff’s determination to showcase the a perfect project, the staff has put in so much hard work to cast the best actors. As we have put in so much effort into confirming the cast, we hope for your anticipation… Although there have been many rumors, and many delays in the casting, thank you for waiting and trusting in the production staff’s efforts.”
