Lee Seung Gi shared his thoughts about serving the mandatory two-year military service in Korea.
On March 8, Lee Seung Gi spoke to the press for his upcoming MBC drama “The King 2Hearts,” and addressed questions regarding his expected enlistment date.
“The army is not a place where you can choose to go because it looks attractive, or a place you don’t go because it looks boring,” Lee Seung Gi said. “The army is a place you have to go if you’re a Korean man. I think it’s too early to tell the exact date of my enlistment. I will eventually go so I hope a lot of you guys show up when I do enlist.”
MBC “The King 2Hearts” follows an interesting storyline based on the assumption that South Korea maintained its constitutional monarchy. Lee Seung Gi plays the role of the South Korean king, who falls in love with Ha Ji Won, a North Korean special force officer. The first episode will air on March 21, replacing “The Moon That Embraces the Sun.”
