Mighty Mouth Makes Comeback With Showcase Relayed Live Through Global Mnet

Hip hop duo Mighty Mouth made its comeback to the K-Pop world after being away for 11 months through an exciting showcase held for its new single Bad Boy.

The showcase was held at Club Holic in Seoul’s Gangnam on May 10 with fans and the duo’s celebrity friends, from Jung Sora to Kim Tae Woo and Rainbow’s Jaekyung, in attendance. Those who were unable to attend the actual event were able to see all of the action go down in real time nonetheless on Global Mnet’s website

After the introductions and following the big reveal of the duo’s new Bad Boy music video, Mighty Mouth took the stage with Soya, getting the crowd pumped up with an exciting live performance of the track with all of the trappings of a summer hit.

“I read a comment once that said, ‘When a Mighty Mouth song comes out, it’s summer,’” said Sangchoo after the performance.

Members Sangchoo and Shorry J also took some time to answer a few questions about the new release during the showcase’s Q&A session.

When asked if they had any entertaining behind-the-scenes episodes to share, Shorry J drew laughs from the crowd when he revealed, “Since we’re short, and the models were over 170 [cm] the director went through great pains to stretch us out in each cut.”

On working with singer Soya for the third time on the new song, Sangchoo said, “We hear this a lot now, that we’re the Cool of 2012,” He continued, “When I watch our music video and performances, I think the visual is really nice.”

Shorry J then jumped in and added, “Our voices go really well together.”

With a number of artists making their comebacks this month, Mighty Mouth was asked whom they considered their rivals to which the members said Ulala Session.

And on the topic of the duo always losing the number one spot to other artists in the past, ever the good sport, Sangchoo said, “We think that there’s always a spot for us.”

Mighty Mouth will kick of its music program promotions on the May 10 broadcast of Mnet’s M Countdown
