Taetiseo, J.Y. Park, and Big Bang rank high on MV charts

The combination of auditory and visual elements that are shown throughout a music video is one of the ways in which artists enhance their appeal to fans.
In many instances, the music video is a key determining factor of a song’s success.
Girls’ Generation sub-unit Taetiseo‘s MV for “Twinkle” has reached #1 on Naver and Daum’s music video charts. In the video, Taetiseo sings the retro melody while showing a charismatic performance. The music video enabled fans to focus on the individual charms of the members, and a change in image for Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun.
Taking the #2 spot is J.Y. Park‘s MV for his new title track, “You’re the One“. The “You’re the One” MV perfectly displays his appealing step dance and a storyline that goes well with the song’s lyrics. J.Y. Park also shows his ability to portray the emotions of the song through his acting. J.Y. Park’s MV for “Someone Else” feat. Ga In also ranked in the top 10.
Another honorable mention is Big Bang‘s “Fantastic Baby” MV. The music video has achieved #5 and #7 on Naver and Daum portal sites, respectively. The “Fantastic Baby” MV highlights Big Bang’s charismatic performance as well as their well-coordinated choreography with masked back-up dancers. The video also has a colorful background, which adds to the song’s overall appeal.
