Actress Lee Min Jung expressed her wishes to break her wedding jinx in upcoming KBS series “Big,” co-starring Gong Yoo.
On May 30, she wrote on her me2day, “I received rice wreaths from Lee Min Jung Gallery, as well as China’s Baidu fan club. Thank you for your unwavering support and encouragement!” She also shared the photo of the rice wreath her fans sent to the press conference of her latest drama.
As shown in the photo, her fans also attached a short, humorous message on the wreath, which read, “Min Jung-ah. Please pull of a successful wedding in this drama. If you fail again, this will be the fourth time.” Coincidentally, Lee Min Jung failed to get through a wedding, despite wearing the stunning white dresses, in her past three dramas, “Midas,” “Smile You,” and “Boys over Flowers.”
In the upcoming series, Lee Min Jung plays Gil Daran, a spunky and at times clumsy teacher, while Gong Yoo takes on the role of Seo Yoon Jae, Gil Daran’s fiance and pediatrician who swaps bodies with 18-year-old delinquent.
The body-swapping rom-com promises to be another hit as it’s written by the famous Hong Sisters (Hong Jung Eun and Hong Mi Ran), the masterminds behind trendy series like “The Greatest Love,” “My Girlfriend Is a Gumiho,” “You’re Beautiful,” “My Girl,” and more. The series also stars Bae Suzy of miss A, Jang Hee Jin, Shin Won Ho, Baek Sung Hyun, Ahn Suk Hwan, Yoon Hae Young, and more.
“Big” will premiere on KBS on Monday, June 4, at 9:55PM KST.
