Fans Donate 270 kg of Rice for B1A4 San Deul’s Musical Debut

B1A4’s San Deul is stepping out of his idol shadow, and starring in the musical The Brothers Were Brave. To cheer him on, fans have donated over 270 kg of rice through congratulatory rice wreaths for San Deul musical acting debut.

On June 25, at Seoul’s Samsung-dong Coex Artium Hyundai Art Hall, the press conference for The Brothers Were Brave was held.

On this night, in the main hall, lines of congratulator rice garlands could be seen with congratulatory messages such as, ‘Our Busan man who stirs the hearts of us noonas.”
San Deul’s agency, WM Entertainment, spoke with enews over the phone saying, “[The Brothers Were Brave] is a musical the B1A4 members really enjoyed watching when they were trainees. For San Deul who has long been wanting to do a musical, after finding out he had been cast, he has been practicing diligently even amid his busy schedule but with so many other talented actors, he is feeling a bit of pressure.”

The Brothers Were Brave also stars established musical actors such as Jang Yoo Jung and will be directed by Jang So Young.

San Deul is triple cast in the musical as the character Lee Joo Bong along with actors Sung Doo Seob and Jo Kang Hyun.

Lee Joo Bong is a smart but hot-tempered and prideful younger brother. The character’s innocent but backbone-lacking older brother, Seok Bong, will be played by Kim Jae Bum (the musical actor) and Kim Do Hyun.

The musical kicks off on June 26 and will run through October with San Deul’s first performance on July 13 and to appear on stage every Tuesday and Thursday nights.
