Kangin will be coming back with his group shortly, but fans will be able to catch him at the theater before his official comeback, through the SM Entertainment documentary film I AM.
Super Junior will be coming back with its sixth studio album sometime in early July, 11 months since its fifth album Mr. Simple was released in August 2011. Kangin plans to join the group as a member again, drawing anticipation from fans waiting to see their star sing.
Kangin was swept up in a series of incidents in 2009, prompting him to halt his activities as a member of Super Junior. He joined the army in July 2010 for self-reflection, and hasn’t been seen much since except during his release.
Fans will be able to feel what it’ll be like to have their star back through I AM. Kangin could be seen in the film played during the press preview on June 18.
It wasn’t anything recent, of course, just snippets from his past with the SM members. The clip was from 2007, when the Super Junior members were concerned over Kyuhyun, who had been in a serious car accident. When Kyuhyun entered the backstage waiting room healthy and well, Kangin could be seen greeting him happily.
Through footage from his past, Kangin has managed to step forth again. Many fans and officials are looking forward to how he’ll fare as a singer and musical actor after his comeback.
I AM, SM Entertainment’s documentary film about the years of effort, passion and dreams it takes for a moment of entertainment, will premiere on June 21.
