The Korea Communications Commission has issued a warning against KBS‘s ‘Entertainment Relay‘.
Through a press release on June 7th, the KCC announced, “We’ve issued a disciplinary warning against KBS’s ‘Entertainment Relay’ for their report on Big Bang member Daesung‘s car accident controversy.”
Previously on February 25th, ‘Entertainment Relay’ had released a report speculating whether Big Bang’s comeback plans were appropriate at the time. They had interviewed the mother of the victim associated with Daesung’s car accident and reported that the family of the deceased had yet to receive settlement money from YG Entertainment, causing further controversy to erupt.
The KCC was able to confirm that the family had in fact received their settlement money. The KCC continued, “We confirmed that the brother of the victim received the settlement money. Despite other outlets reporting that that may not be all that there is to the story, ‘Entertainment Relay’ did not revise their broadcast.”
In related news, the KCC also issued disciplinary warnings to SBS‘s ‘Fashion King‘ and ‘Dummy Mommy‘ for their use of slang and blatant use of sponsored material.
