Lee Seung Gi made the audience of IU’s concert laugh like his own fans. On June 3, Lee Seung Gi appeared as a guest for IU’s first concert Real Fantasy 2012 held in Seoul. He made an entrance as a surprise guest, to the delight of the concert’s audience.
After singing You’re My Friend from his fifth studio album, he said in praise of IU, “I believe that IU is the only singer that is as strong as she is alone in the midst of so many groups. I hope you continue to show her your support so that this girl IU can continue to draw popularity in K-Pop as a solo singer.”
He also drew laughter from his audience by saying to the largely male audience, “It’s different from my concerts; there are so many men that I can hear thick low notes [in the audience]…. Hello,” and bowing down.
The large male composition wasn’t the only thing he noticed about the audience. Lee Seung Gi pointed out that soccer player Park Ji Sung was sitting in the audience, and added shyly, “It’s personally an honor because the Korean hero, soccer player Park Ji Sung is here. I’m a big fan.”
The singer sang You’re My Friend and Love Time onstage.
Lee Seung Gi performed in his own concert on June 1 in front of 8,000 Japanese fans at Budokan for his 2012 Lee Seung Gi Japan First Live-Hope. His drama, MBC’s The King 2Hearts, will start airing through Mnet Japan in the country come September.
