2AM’s Jo Kwon signaled his return to the throne with the trailer for his new song I’m Da One on June 22.
The one minute long teaser opens like a fairy tale story, complete with a magical book.
It tells the story of King Jo Kwon, who is beloved by everyone in his kingdom, despite his partying ways. But he doesn′t realize the harsh conditions that his kingdom is in, and continues to party hard. The story of King Jo Kwon ends with a ‘And then one day,’ making fans curious to how this tale changes.
Jo Kwon, who has shown a few surprising and unique styles through his previous photo teasers, donned a new blond hairstyle and sat at a giant throne, reminiscent of G-Dragon’s own in the Fantastic Baby music video.
Judging from the 15 second preview of the actual song, I’m Da One has an exciting melody and bumping club beat, perfectly fitting to King Jo Kwon’s partying ways.
Jo Kwon’s new album will be released on June 25, after which he will officially begin his solo activities.
