704 lucky individuals were the recipients of a free hug from some of the ZE:A members recently.
On June 25, as part of Mnet’s Yoo Se Yoon’s Art Video filming, the ZE:A members appeared at a shopping center in Gyeonggi-do Ilsan where the group’s ‘704 Free Hug’ mission took place.
In the ‘704 Free Hug’ campaign, the ZE:A members were split into two teams with Kwang Hee, and Kevin in the ‘free hug team’ and Im Si Wan, Dong Jun, Min Woo and Tae Heon in the ‘running machine team’.
While the ‘free hug team’ set out to hug 704 people, the ‘running machine team’ had to run on treadmills and would fail the mission if they stepped off the treadmill.
Showing great teamwork, the members were able to successfully complete the free hug campaign in roughly 40 minutes.
In particular, member Im Si Wan showed impressive stamina for the running machine team, as he has been practicing through the night for ZE:A’s comeback and has been shooting for MBC’s Standby in early hours of the morning.

A representative for Star Empire said, “Since we had done absolutely no promotions for the guerilla-type event we all had thought we would fail in the mission. In addition, as the members have been practicing nonstop for their comeback they are undoubtedly very tired but their tireless effort seems to have brought in a lot of people for the free hug campaign.”
ZE:A will hold its comeback showcase for its upcoming second album on July 3 at Yonsei University and will released its new album the next day on July 4.
