Super Junior Says It’s Happy About Its Success

The Super Junior members thanked everyone for their success and said they were very happy about it.The group made its comeback official through the press conference for its sixth studio album held on July 3 in Seoul.

Super Junior thus launched its full-fledged promotion for its sixth album with the conference on July 4, 11 months since its last album.

The return of Kangin, who hadn’t been seen since 2009, gathered more attention to the event. Kangin got involved in DUI and assault incidents in 2009, and after staying quiet for a while, entered the army as an active duty officer in July 2010.

He was released in April 2012 and was able to join the group again for its new album.

This day, Super Junior’s leader Leeteuk said, “I want to say that Super Junior is a success. It’s not a success because it reached a certain status, but because it’s working with great members and staff. Success is happiness. They said that if you still want many things you’re still poor, and if you don’t want much you’re rich. There are so many great people around us and we don’t want much, so we’re successful. I think our first single cut [Sexy, Free & Single] fits us from that aspect.”

He added, “I believe that Super Junior needs to pioneer new roads in the future. I hope we’ll become an idol that’s loved across the nation for a long time. They say that a war of the stars is going on these days, and that’s great. I believe K-Pop will become even more successful in the world. Please show us your support.”

The group’s new single Sexy, Free & Single is a soulful house piece with trendy rearrangements. It stands out with its addictive and easy chorus and lyrics that talk about the success of sexy and free single men.

Super Junior will be performing the single for the first time on the July 5 broadcast of Mnet’s M Countdown.
