Super Junior’s Kim Heechul will leave SBS’s “Young Street” after DJing the radio program for nearly a year and three months.
On June 21st, SBS revealed that Heechul, who DJed since March 2010, will have his final live broadcast on the 26th; the idol sought to concentrate more on his singing and acting activities.
Heechul stated, “I apologize to the fans who loved ‘Young Street’, but in order to concentrate on Super Junior’s upcoming album, and to better show new sides to myself on movies and dramas, I have unfortuately decided to resign from my DJ position.”
For five days, beginning on June 27th and ending on July 1st, “Young Street” will have a ‘Special DJ Week’ with a different DJ hosting the program everyday.
One of the five special DJs will be named as the new “Young Street” DJ on July 2nd’s live broadcast.
