SBS ‘Strong Heart‘ PD Park Sang Hyuk expressed his gratitude towards entertainer Boom.
During a phone interview with MyDaily that took place on the 10th, PD Park remarked, “Boom is a valuable character on the show. We were actually very concerned with MC Kang Ho Dong leaving, but Boom has been a tremendous help in filling the void.”
Boom, who had been discharged from the military this past August, has been actively featuring on various variety programs. He has been well-received on each program, but the one that highlights his witty personality the most, is none other than, ‘Strong Heart’.
Boom has been playing an effective role, making sure things flow smoothly after Lee Seung Gi took on the role of the solo MC. He possesses the mysterious ability to make even the most uninteresting stories seem entertaining. Without any outside help, Boom has helped make the program even more enjoyable through the creation of ’Boom Academy’, ‘Boom Doctor’, ‘Hello’, ‘X-Files’, etc.
Although he has been praised for his wit and professionalism, he has also been criticized some as “trying too hard“, and “disturbing the flow” of the show.
Park PD expressed that these negative comments upset him, stating, “Honestly, on a talk show like ours, it’s easy for the show to become dull and boring. The person that vitalizes the show at those moments, is none other than Boom. It’s because of Boom that people can relax and share their stories. They trust that he can make the story seem entertaining. Boom brings up the atmosphere when it becomes dull. I’m so grateful to Boom for working so hard, and as the PD, I’m 100% satisfied with his performance on the program.”
