Shinhwa’s Eric felt grateful towards Lee Soo Man after leaving SM Entertainment

Legendary idol group Shinhwa opened up about their relationship with SM Entertainment after leaving the company.
The second half of the ‘Shinhwa Special’ episode of MBC‘s ‘Radio star‘ aired on March 28th.
Eric was introduced as the member who revolted against then CEO Lee Soo Man while Shinhwa was still under SM Entertainment.
I did back then,” he admitted. “But once I moved to a different company, I felt extremely grateful towards him.”
Fellow member Kim Dongwan added, “I went to go visit him from time to time. Whenever it was a holiday or when one of my solo albums came out, I would go see him. I still keep in touch with director Yoo Young Jin, and I actually saw him three days ago.”
And in regards to the Shinhwa members each being under different labels, leader Eric remarked, “Our labels were different so of course it was hard, but the staff members that worked with us since we were with SM became the head of our new companies. Because we were once members of the same family, the staff members were accommodating just like we members are, and that’s the only reason why we were able to make it work.”
