Abbey Road Studios is well known for being the studio of legendary English band The Beatles, and a representative from the studio drew attention after comparing idol group SHINee to The Beatles themselves.
Abbey Road Studios was established in 1931, and is known to be the location where The Beatles recorded most of their songs. The band’s famous ‘Abbey Road‘ album jacket was a photo taken at a crossroad right outside the studio, a street that draws tourists from all over the world even today. SHINee who traveled to Europe last year also crossed the very same road.
Singer Bae Chul Soo who will be releasing ‘Bae Chul Soo crosses Abbey Road‘ through MBC Music recently traveled to London to meet with the CEO of Abbey Road Studios. Thinking back to the day SHINee was in town, the CEO remarked, “It was the first time so many people had gathered outside the studio. I thought the Beatles had come back.”
SHINee became the first Asian musician to hold a showcase at Abbey Road studios, and the boys received a warm welcome from many of the local fans who had come out to see them upon hearing the news.
“London is an extremely beautiful city for those who love pop music,” Bae Chul Soo said. “2012 marks the 50th anniversary of The Beatles’ debut, and is also the year the Olympics will be held in London, so this vacation will be quite meaningful.”
Bae Chul Soo’s unique London experience will be broadcasted on April 26th through MBC Music.
