With the release of the mini album, ‘Twinkle’ by Girls’ Generation’s first subunit, the album ranked #5 on both the U.S. iTunes Album Chart and the Canadian chart. The girls are also ranking high on iTunes album charts in many other countries.
Quite an impressive feat, especially considering that these charts ranked the popularity of albums across all genres, rather than one specific genre.
Needless to say, the ladies have already swept the Korean music charts. ‘Twinkle’ is ranked #1 on all major Korean music sites such as MelOn, Mnet, Bugs, Soribada, and Olleh Music.
With the album heating up the charts, fans are eagerly anticipating the release of the full MV.
