Even though he′s somewhat of a dimwit , Baek Sung Hyun proved to be a manly man with an adorable face
On June 18’s broadcast of KBS’ Big, Choong Shik (Baek Sung Hyun) overhears his sister, Da Ran (Lee Min Jung) and brother-in-law-to-be, Kyung Joon (Gong Yoo) fighting over not wanting to get married anymore since 18 year old Kyung Joon is trapped inside the body of 30 year old Yoon Jae.
Da Ran ends up giving Yoon Jae’s plane ticket to LA to Kyung Joon, telling him to leave and that she’ll take care of everything.
Kyung Joon, angry that she’s suddenly canceling the wedding, blurts out, “Don’t come running back to me because you’re miserable taking care of the canceled wedding!” Hearing Kyung Joon say this, Choong Shik misunderstands that Yoon Jae is the one canceling the wedding and ultimately hurting his older sister.
Out of anger, Choong Shik bursts into the room and angrily punches Kyung Joon repeatedly.
Having portrayed the empty-headed idiot brother, who knows no common sense, Baek Sung Hyun’s manly performance of a protective brother has earning Choong Sik praise amongst the drama’s viewers.
They commented, “It was a scene where you realize just how much Choong Shik really cares for his sister,” “From empty-headed to action Choong Shik!” and “Good to know he’s not completely dimwitted.”
Episode six of Big will continue on June 19 with the reunion of Da Ran and Kyung Joon after Kyung Joon leaves for the US for one year.
