2PM’s Chansung was cast for his first regular drama appearance and also his first Japanese drama titled, “Phantom Thief Royal.”Chanusng will play the character “Jack” and show off his martial arts prowess through action scenes.
Chansung stated, “My Japanese still needs a lot of work, but I will try my best in order to portray the character ‘Jack.’ I would like all of you to watch me as an actor and not a singer. I will try hard.” The fact that Chansung and Taecyeon are both appearing on Japanese dramas shows how popular 2PM is in Japan.
The drama “Phantom Thief Royal” is based on a social game that had nearly 10 million users. It was also made into a manga series. The basic storyline is that these “phantom thieves” are stealing treasure from bad guys in order to find their lost memories. Chansung will be appearing on the drama alongside, Matsuzaka Tori,Omasa Aya, and Fukushi Seiji.
