SBS has announced that they will not be including Kang Ho Dong in their nominations for the ‘2011 Entertainment Awards‘.
This means that Kang Ho Dong has been excluded from all three year-end awards from Korea’s public broadcast networks (MBC, KBS, and SBS).
On December 26th, representatives of SBS confirmed that the nominations for their ceremony includedYoo Jae Suk, Kim Byung Man, Lee Seung Gi, and Lee Kyung Gyu.
Due to Kang Ho Dong’s announcement of his temporary retirement following the media’s scrutiny of his tax records, all three networks have decided to exclude him from their nominations to avoid any potential drama.
The news is particularly shocking because Kang Ho Dong had won the 2007 SBS Daesang, the 2008 MBC Daesang, the 2009 KBS Daesang, and the 2010 SBS Daesang.
