The charming actor Oh Ji Ho has transformed himself from a beastly man to a warm man.
According to a broadcasting company’s official, the chance is very high that Oh Ji Ho will be playing the leading role in KBS2’s upcoming drama “The Equator Man”, which will start airing in March.
Four years after the release of the successful drama “Women of the Sun,” the writer Kim In Young has revealed news about “The Equator Man” on her KBS comeback.
Oh Ji Ho will be playing the role Kim Sun Woo, a man who has had a harsh youth, growing up as an orphan, but eventually became a very successful CEO. However, he is surrounded by death and he and his friend Lee Jang Il are having major conflicts with each other.
Since the 2010 drama “Chuno,” Oh Ji Ho has gained much popularity as a beastly and masculine man. If he gets the role, this drama will be his first television project after more than 2 years (besides his cameo-role in “Fugitive: Plan B”).
Currently, he is busy with the filming of his upcoming movie “Gone With the Wind,” together with the actorCha Tae Hyun. He also recently wrapped up the filming of another drama “Strangers 6,” which will be aired in Korea, China and Japan.
The representative of his agency, Heavenly Star Contents, stated that, “We are busy with the research after getting the proposal for ‘The Equator Man.’”
The revealing of the final cast for “The Equator Man” is slow compared to its competitor dramas, MBC’s “The King” and SBS’s “Rooftop Prince”. However, it is expected that the rest of the cast will be revealed soon.
