Busker Busker Records 13 Million Downloads for its First Album



The second place winners of Mnet’s Superstar K3,Busker Busker recently broke 13 million downloads for its first official album. According to Gaon Charts, Busker Busker recorded a total of 13,055,149 song downloads during the time period of March 18 to May 19. The number of downloads were gathered from Melon, Mnet, Soribada, and other music websites. The album was released on March 29. 

Of the eleven tracks included in Busker Busker’s first album, Cherry Blossom Ending had the most downloads with 2,184,650. The song also placed first on music charts for several weeks and still remains in the top ten charts.

The other songs that followed were First Love with 1,516,373 downloads, YeoSu Night-Sea with 1,489,502, and Blossom with 1,237,627. Out of the 11 tracks, six songs recorded having more than a million downloads each

“It’s very difficult for an artist to break 10,000,000 download,” an affiliate with Gaon stated, “And for one album to have six songs that broke that record is just rare.”

With 70,000 copies of Busker Busker’s first album sold, it may just be possible that Busker Busker may reach the rare goal of selling 100,000 copies.
