Park Jin Young has denied and cleared up a quote that he never said.
Previously, the Korean press had reported Park Jin Young as saying, ‘In Korea, the Wonder Girls are in a place where it can’t go any higher. We want to aim for a bigger goal now,” during an interview with Japan’s Oricon regarding the Wonder Girls’ upcoming Japan debut.
On May 11, Park Jin Young took to his Twitter to explain he never said such a statement in the first place. He tweeted, “[The statement] that the Wonder Girls have no place higher to go in Korea is not true and neither I, nor the Wonder Girls, have ever said or thought such a thing. After reviewing the interview video the mention that Nobody reached a peak in Korea became mistranslated and we notified the related press to correct the statement.”
He continued to say, “Please remember during an interview with an overseas press outlet an error can occur anytime in the translation, interpretation and communication. On the other hand, it would be discourteous of us to have journalists publish their articles after we reviewed it so please understand that it’s not easy.”
