Lee Su Geun and Ju Won were recommended by woman they met on their way to try something called ‘soup jjajang’. Soup jjajang was apparently first made in 1970, by a Chinese cook living in Jeonju. It turned out to be a type of fried noodle which differs from ordinary jjajang in that it doesn’t use black bean sauce, and actually looks similar to jjamppong.
After tasting the dish, Lee Su Geun said in awe, “I can’t explain what this is. How can I explain what this tastes like?” and Ju Won also continued to let out exclamations. They also aroused curiosity by agreeing, “It’s not jjamppong and it’s not jjajang, but it’s really addictive.”
Netizens who saw the broadcast left reactions such as, ‘I can’t quite grasp the idea’, ‘That place will be selling out soon’ and ‘I want to try it.’
