What to Look Forward to Seeing at the 20’s Choice Awards

Korea’s one and only summer ceremony, Mnet’s 20’s Choice Awards, will be taking place on June 28 at Banyan Tree Club & Spa’s The Oasis in Namsan, Seoul.

Instead of being a serious ceremony, the 20’s Choice Awards is known for being a summer party that brings the celebrities and viewers together in one huge party. 

This year celebrity participation and various events will again be adding to the fun.

This year’s 20’s Choice will try to mix and match celebrities in a variety of collaborations. Suzy, who became the icon of first love through the rare romance film success Architecture 101, and Busker Busker, the biggest rookie of the year, will be performing together in a collaborative effort.

Suzy and Busker Busker will be putting on a show never seen before in any other music show. The two teams that each made it big in film and popular song this year will perform together under the theme of ‘first love’.

Suzy and Busker Busker’s special lovey-dovey musical performance will especially entertain those fans looking forward to seeing the two teams together onstage.

SISTAR will also be getting a big spotlight to follow its success early this year with its single Alone. The group will perform to its single Loving U, set to be released on the day of the ceremony, for the first time.

SISTAR has everyone looking forward to what performance it will be putting on this time as it’s already famous for its high-quality stage directing and choreography.

Loving U will especially splash the scene as a summer song aimed exclusively for the summer, and the pool backdrop is expected to add to the atmosphere of SISTAR’s sexy new moves.

The ceremony will also be awarding many celebrities in attendance across the areas of dramas, film, music and popular culture in general, drawing attention for its wide array of celebrities from many different areas.

A new section for band music and socialtainers, who were previously excluded from such ceremonies, was set up this year for a bigger variety.

The 20’s Choice Awards, which join together play and culture in a ceremony exclusively for those in their 20s, looks back on the hot issues among youth and provides an overview of the big stars that were popular that year.

The ceremony will air through Mnet, KM, tvN, Onstyle, Mnet Japan and Mnet USA.
