miss A‘s Suzy recently appeared on jTBC‘s variety show, ‘Quiz Idol Preview‘, where she discussed her concerns about college with rapper Verbal Jint.
Now that she’s a senior in high school, Suzy has naturally begun to worry about her college plans. Many young stars around Suzy’s age have been opting to forgo college in order better concentrate on their careers, especially since it’ll be difficult to attend classes with their busy schedules anyway.
But having grown up with the idea to go to college, it’s difficult for them to give it up so easily, especially for those who are scared to put their entire future in the hands of their idol career.
Suzy honestly confessed that she’s standing at a crossroad between attending or not, and wondered whether it’d be meaningful to go when she can’t realistically attend classes. Still, she couldn’t ignore the fact that college would be an invaluable experience.
Rapper Verbal Jint, who also guested on the show, shared his opinion with her. Verbal Jint himself is a graduate of Economics at Seoul University and is currently attending law school at Hanyang University.
As someone that developed his music career while in college, Verbal Jint advised that although he could understand why people will decide to forgo it in order to focus on their music, it would still be beneficial to keep the option open since you never know what the future can hold.
