Garion, Double K, VerbalJint, 45RPM, MC Sniper, Miryo and Hoony Hoon all affirmed they would show great hip hop stages for Mnet’s Show Me the Money. The seven musicians appeared at the press conference on June 19 for Mnet’s Show Me the Money at Seoul’s Yeongdeungpo Times Square.
Garion’s MC Meta, who is often called ‘the living hip hop legend’, shared, “Before this, there weren’t stages we could go on in television programs. Mnet revived its hip hop program after ten years and asked us to join and we decided to after they told us we could do the music we wanted to. If it’s a stage for us to be able to do the music we want to, we thought, why not?”
Double K added, “Though there was some initial pressure, the thought of being able to collaborate with rookie rappers and to allow the public to hear some great hip hop music ended the contemplation and I decided to appear.”
VerbalJint shared similar sentiments saying, “With Mnet’s support, I decided to join to create the performances I wanted to. Above all, I hope I can receive new energy from these rookie rapper and I hope I can receive help from them too.”
The other featured musicians also shared they looked forward to drawing closer with the public through more stages.
Just as MC Meta shared, there haven’t been many opportunities to see many hip hop stages on television. The determination of the starring musicians were quite amazing.
